I am a lover of classic and indie rock music; although I like all genres as I think much of the old folk; rockabilly; blues; southern rock; and early rock and roll contributed to these sounds. I am a fan of Sam Cooke;The Beatles; Boby Dylan; The Doors; The Who; The Allman Brothers; Eric Clapton; Jackson Browne and David Lindley; and especially; The Band. Of the newer Indie Rock bands; I like The Avett Brothers; JJ Grey and Mofro; AA Bondy; She and Him; KT Tunstall; and of course; The Levon Helm Band (he is the 70 yr old ex-drummer of The Band...although he isn't considered indie; he is Americana and recent 2 time Grammy winner at that!!). There are so many more and I'm sure I've missed many; I didn't even name many of the individual artists of these bands that contributed so much to our musical history. I also enjoy doing research in the history of the bands and the music of the '60's and 70's in general.

I am a horse lover (my profile pic is from a 1969 World Champion horse show win) and animal lover in general. I enjoy gardening; cooking; and writing new recipes. Internet research and writing is a hobby; one that I find enjoyable; but have never published anything. My most rewarding accomplishment in life has been in raising a wonderful; loving; and talented son. He is a graduate student in film and also teaches undergraduate courses; produces; films; and edits documentaries and other misc film projects. He is now married to a lovely woman whom I also love very much...they make the perfect couple! Fortunately; I get to see them often. Life is good!
